The Artist Explains: Billionaire - 'Fine Minds (Video).

Who: Billionaire is a lo fi/minimalistic, singer-songwriter from London.
About the Track: Billionaire's debut single and EP title track 'Fine Minds'  premiered via Wonderland Magazine back in April, and has received support and airplay from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Amazing Radio’s Simon Raymonde, and BBC Introducing Kent.
'Fine Minds' is a sparse, atmospheric track with erratic electronica - its mood set by crashes of washed out synths, reverb driven guitar, and immediate, brooding bass lines.  The Artist Explains: "I filmed 'Fine Minds' with my girlfriend on what felt like one of the coldest days of the year. The girl who edited it had to throw most of what we filmed away because we were shivering so much that the footage was too shaky. The song is mostly about feeling pretty apathetic towards change on a personal and societal level so I wanted the video to reflect that - killing time, in London, or by the sea... That idea of 'I don't know what I want, so I'm just going to wait for something to happen to me.' Seaside towns are pretty good for that. We pissed most of the budget up the wall on the penny pushers, but I did win a plastic toy which was pretty integral to the plot. When we were trying to film the last part, this old couple walked right through where we were filming down to the end of the jetty. It looked like they were doing some sort of suicide pact, just walking into the sea together. I thought it was quite beautiful so we kept it in. They walked back soon afterwards, complaining about the weather." - Billionaire.
